On 18 May 2016, the revised Tripartite Guidelines on the Re-employment of Older Employees was released. This serves as a reference for employers and employees in preparing for re-employment and dealing with the re-employment offer ahead of the legislative changes.

The new re-employment age of 67 will take effect from 1 July 2017, and this will apply to eligible employees who turn 65 on or after 1 July 2017.
